If you have any doubt, forward any suspicious email to me, and I will

Sellers BEWARE of SCAM EMAILS: I have had
a number of sellers express concern over SCAM email inquiries in response
to their classified ads.
PLEASE BEWARE of scammers. Sooner or later ALL internet classified sites
get discovered & become prey to these people that have nothing better
to do with their time than to try to rip you off.
Scammers send bogus email to you, to solicit a phony sale involving
(counterfeit) money orders or certified bank checks.
You can recognize scam email because the sender has little or no knowledge
of the sale item (in our case a horse), as they send emails in bulk
and have little knowledge of the ad they are supposedly responding to.
A scammer asks questions in the email that are already answered in the
ad. That is your first clue.
The next clues are:
Scammers are often not from North America (you can check their I.P.
address - peek under the hood of the email) - or - you can tell that
English is not their native language.
They often appeal to greed and offer you a larger sum than you ask.
If you run across an email inquiry that is suspect, ask them an obvious
question to test them. If you are still unsure, forward it to
me, and I will help you figure out if it is genuine or bogus.If
I have doubts, I will ask them if they meant the mare or filly... or
something about the color - something a genuine horse buyer would know,
and the scammer won't know.
they love to be in a hurry, it is usually "time sensitive" offer, to
encourage you to go after the $ rather than think or question them
SCAM BAITING< There are scambaiters who play with these scammers ad
nauseum, just to see how long they can lure them on, and to what lengths
they can pursuade them to go along with. Here is one funny example.

Sale: AQHA Virgin Fire Hancock, aka “Wy”. This
2003 frosty bay roan mare is 98.44% foundation bred by FQHR calculations.
She is by Super Cowpoke and out of Red Pawnee Hancock by Hancock’s
Blue Boy. Her sire, Super Cowpoke, is Skipper W. and Joe Hancock
bred as is her dam who came off the Broken Bone Ranch of Lander,
WY. Wy has worked lots of cattle in the high Rocky Mountains of
Montana and worked the cow sale in Missoula, MT for two months.
She has packed in the mountains and had lots of calves dragged to
the fire off her. She showed to be a high performance mare early
on. Three good trainers claimed she was the fastest responding horse
they have ever ridden, and she showed this ability inside her first
30 days of training. Wy was being programmed for competition reining
when she was checked by top vets at Montana Equine and diagnosed
as having a cyst on her right front navicular bone which they say
may, or may not, have resulted from a possible fracture or injury,
none that we were aware. All involved did not want to breed her
until we could try to get her over this in hopes of bringing her
back which has not happened yet. So now she needs to produce and
pass on her exceptional ability, and will do that as did her own
dam. There are many legends and champions in her pedigree, and it

is 95.31% foundation by FQHR calculations, born to be a producer
as illustrated by her first foal, Royal Quik Bartoe, and will continue

milker and good mother. This mare has a good thoroughbred frame

has about 90 days of riding, worked the stockyard in Missoula, Montana,

Wanted: Managers and cowboys, Bryansk Meat Company is looking
for managers to live and work in Russia. You will be responsible
for a ranch of 4200 hd. The company has imported over 70,000 hd
of cattle from the US and Austrialia. You will be responsible for
all aspects of the ranch and teaching Russians how to ride and rope.
This job is not suited for everyone. It requires a lot of patience
and ability to manage people and live in a foreign land and culture.
Currently, there are 16 Amercian managers from Idaho, Nevada, Oregon,
Montana and Utah working and living with their families on their
own ranch. Each month US horses and 7,000 hd of cattle are shipped
from the port in the US to Russia. Next summer you will help with
calving out 42,000 hd of first calf heifers which were AI'd this
year. You must have experience, not a job for folks wanting to learn
